Comparison Chart

Carina had her 15 month appointment with Dr. Patranella this week, so we asked if they had received Dante's AFP, since we hadn't heard yet. They did have it - 2.4!!! Yea! (Normal range is between 0.5 and 7.9) That was the report we were waiting on, since that test would find tumor markers in his blood, in case something was missed on the CT scan. Did I say Yea!!!??? Go Dante!!!

Carina, by the way, had a great checkup. As a matter of fact, Chris and I couldn't think of a single thing to ask about her! With Dante (perhaps being the first? or more high-spirited?) we would ask questions forever! Anyway, she is just now 20 pounds and 30 inches tall. I looked back at my notes. Ready for the differences between the two in size? At 15 months, Carina is the same weight that Dante was at 5 months, the same height that Dante was at 10 months and the same head circumference that Dante was at 4 months! Can you say she's a bit petite compared to him? Even so, Dr. Patranella is not concerned, as she has been consistently in these ranges and she is healthy. I put Carina in an onesie on Saturday that I have a photo of Dante in at 4 weeks! At least we don't go through as many clothes with her as we did with him.

Apparently, she is talking at an 18 month level, which is cool to know. She has been trying to say "Dante" and isn't having much luck. But, this weekend, Chris heard her call him "Bubba", which has always been one of our nicknames for Dante

Sadly, our digital camera just died. We have sent it in for possible repairs, so in the meantime, all I have is phone photos!

  • Hi Jen,
Wow, when you said you had a blog you were right. this is excellent. I am glad you included info on germ cells. I wasn't aware of this type of thing. Keep up the good work, it helps others. Like when I found the TBI site and learned more about depression.

I have lost your emal address, please send it to me again. Sorry. This was the only way I could figure to got to you.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Bob
