Two Years!

Dante had a CT scan last week - all clear! That puts us at 2 years with no sign of cancer on a scan...(we have the blood work appointment in 2 weeks to make it official.)

And even better - this was Dante's first scan with no mediport - which meant an IV...he did great! And NO sedation! Amazing what a quick trip it was to the hospital with no sedation needed. Plus, we didn't have to deal with the lousy drunk afterwards.

The scan results said that his L2 vertebrae compression is unchanged. Dr. Patranella said she thinks it has probably fused that way at this point and not to worry. We were worried that he would have back issues, but she said as long as there is no change in it - it's good!



I am so thankful that we have medical insurance...Carina was suddenly in pain last week, wouldn't bear weight on her leg without crying. Doctor advised getting an x-ray because it could be many things and nothing was obvious on physical exam. She had x-rays taken of her whole leg and foot- nothing found. Probably just strained it a little...anyways - got the actual bill this week. Those xrays cost $1500! I can't even imagine. I mean - I know how expensive chemo was for Dante, but I was floored when I read that one. Luckily, she's just fine and was jumping around a couple of days later.

Other than that - life is good. The kids are fun and just having a blast together pretending and it's very cool to watch.
